I am especially pleased that during the previous month, among the most numerous guests were those from the USA, China and South Korea. This is another confirmation that our activities and programs aimed at strengthening our presence in distant markets and improving air connectivity have given excellent results, and additional interest in Croatia has been expressed by many airlines at the London Tourism Fair. This winter, Croatia will be connected to over 100 destinations across Europe and the world, and next year we will invest 40 million kuna in the existing air program, which I believe will contribute to even better results.”, Said Minister Cappelli. “During the first ten months, the majority of tourist traffic was registered in commercial accommodation facilities, which accounted for a high share of 85 percent of total traffic. The structure of commercial accommodation is dominated by turnover in family accommodation with a share of 43 percent, followed by hotels with 27 percent and camps with a 21 percent share in the total realized traffic in the commercial segment. That is why further strengthening and raising the quality of the accommodation offer is imposed as a strategic goal, which in combination with the focused promotion of selective forms of tourism and the opening of new markets to Croatian tourism will ensure further growth and sustainable development.”, emphasized the director of the CNTB Kristjan Staničić, adding that the implementation of two promotional campaigns is underway, one for health tourism which is implemented in six markets until December 6 and the other which is focused on the promotion of MICE tourism and which is implemented until the end of December in markets such as the USA, France, Germany, Austria, the UK, etc. At the national level, during the first ten months, most overnight stays were realized from the markets of Germany (21 million), Slovenia (10.4 million), Austria (7.6 million), Poland (6.3 million) and the Czech Republic (5.5 million). nights realized in in households (37.8 million) and in hotels (24.4 million) and camps (18.9 million).
