MIAMI (WSVN) – Police are searching for the person who, they said, opened fire inside a City of Miami home, sending a man to the hospital.City of Miami Police and Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene of the shooting in the area of Southwest 31st Avenue, near 25th Street, just after 8:15 p.m., Friday.As of 11 p.m. there were still two active crime scenes, one inside the house, and one in the surrounding neighborhood.Officials said responding officers found the 30-year-old victim suffering from gunshot wounds.7News cameras captured two bullet holes in a large side window of the home.Neighbors said they heard gunshots possibly coming from outside the house first. They said the subject then somehow found his way inside the residence and shot the victim.Police set up a perimeter extending across several blocks, as they continued their search. Shortly after arriving at the scene, 7News cameras captured distraught family members on the sidewalk talking to uniformed officers and plainclothes detectives. Cameras captured a boy also appearing upset.Officials said the shooting does not appear to be domestic-related. They have not specified whether or not the shooter or the victim lived inside the house.Paramedics transported the victim to Ryder Trauma Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
